Current Affairs
Your Committee has been working on various issues that have risen in previous months including:- Constitution
The 2011 Constitution has been retyped and reformatted and can be found here. The Committee has carefully gone through each section and several proposed amendments have been recommended. You will find these amendments here, together with the reasons why they have been made - mainly to facilite the running of the Club from anywhere in New Zealand and also to cut down on costs.
The proposed new 2012 Constitution Document will be put to to the AGM in February as a whole document (hopefully). - Questionnaire
As you will know each member received a copy of a questionnaire outlining club activites and requesting a response, which could be sent in annomously. Replies have now been collated and the results and responses to these will be found in the next Mews. - Companion Animal Bill
Temporary Housing Code for Companion Animals. The Club has made a submission to NZCF on this, to which NZCF responded that they have made a submission on this Code on behalf of all Clubs to the Companion Animal Council. - Pet Care Certificate
Research and discussions on an Approved Animal Care Certificate that may be offered to Club members is on going. This will be part of the Companion Animal Bill. - Privacy
Discussions are ongoing on adopting a Privacy Policy. This will cover how we use and protect the information that you provide to the Club - Show News
We are again going to hold a combined show with TOSCA on 28 April 2012 (a month earlier) at the same venue as last year. Royal Canin have agreed to be our major Sponsor. A show catalogue template has been professionally prepared to enable the show catalogue to be done more efficiently. - History
Research is being undertaken on the beginnings of the Club and it is hoped to have a brief article of how the Club started, together with who were first members, published in the next issue of the Mews.
