In the beginning

The club formed in 1978 and by 1979 the Club had gathered together enough Breeders and Pet Owners to register a Constitution with the Incorporated Societies and affiliate with The New Zealand Cat Fancy of New Zealand (NZCF).

Our first show was held in 1984 in conjunction with the Siamese Cat Club of New Zealand and 31 Birman exhibitors came from all over New Zealand to participate. The show was called “Point Colour Spectacular.” Annual shows have been held ever since. For more show information including the next show date click here.
